That notion just crossed my mind..
ONE OF THE BEST RECORDINGS EVER.
They move effortlessly from tune to tune.
Noticing the way they get the Jed Harmony just right.
Donna comes out and goes for Box of Rain
Sweet little FOTD.
There is an obscure tune in Jerry's warm-up for G-Set
Donna gives GREATEST moxy.Just sizzling, "Get right to work, if we had any sense"
B.E. Woman- Hear Weir cutting across the grain.
Phil runs so deep in the one drummer set-up.
"Sound of the thunder , with the rain poring down"
I COULD GET SO SPOILED WITH SOUND LIKE THIS.
There are a few drop-outs but what a recording!
So much of what comes across as cluttered elsewhere
is perfectly distinct here.
In regards SING ME BACK HOME:
"It is appointed once for a man to die
Then comes jugment"

The Dead were invested 11/14. Jerry has a good buzz on. The second set is a joy ride. The Other One is phenomenal.

May be my favorite '72 show.
This version of the recording, too, is the best so far.

Gritty & Lively..
This is a great show from front to back, passionate playing all the way through where it feels like theyre having loads of fun.
The mix has the two guitars up front with Phil's bass lashing down the center core of the vibe... Standouts here for me are Bertha, Around & Around,Casey Jones The Other One & a starkly great Uncle John's Band.
An interesting part can be found @ .51 secs into Trucking were Bobby appears, between the lines, to tell another member they are going slow...? Wier -ed.
[The intro parts of Sugar Magnolia is missing but apart from that no gripes]...great show from a great part in the ever evolving journey.

Philin' it.
Another groovy show from '72; they are finishing the year strong. Phil is really doing his thing this night. Strong vocals. Everyone's on. Donna comes in to sing the second set. The sound has a considerable hiss to it, that sort of clears out as the show goes on; I'm getting stereo sound on my PC as I stream it now. Left channel Garcia guitar, very clear. The Casey Jones is Bitchin'. I'm just astounded at the Phatness of Phil's bass, Brown Eyed Woman is huge in the Phil Zone. Enjoy, especially Phil phans. Also, I'm surprised the other partial version of this show has so many reviews, when the whole show is here. Come on over .
